Our Story

ABOUT OUR COMPANY

Index Forestry has been operating in all regions of Australia for the past 17 years, providing quality service for many large-scale forestry and MIS companies.

As a company, we have lasted the test of time, which in these economic conditions that we all have faced, shows the fortitude, and resilience of Index Forestry. For the last 10 years, the owners and directors of Index Forestry have been involved in harvesting and marketing operations in the South Island of New Zealand.

Our past work has seen the company plant up to 10,000 hectares of trees per year and prune up to 7,000 hectares. Index Forestry offers a highly qualified and experienced team of operations managers and site supervisors, as well as an existing employee list. We have a comprehensive plant of high quality and reliable equipment and machinery.

Over our history, Index Forestry has provided a range of services to a variety of satisfied well-known clients, we have also worked closely with the Tiwi Islanders of Melville Island for a number of years.

At Index Forestry, we believe our employee’s safety is paramount; therefore, we take OH&S very seriously. We have an outstanding OH&S record, with dedicated safety staff overseeing all operations. Index Forestry has the enviable record of zero days Loss to Injury (LTI) in the past 12 months and continues to develop best practice principles in the field of workplace safety.
